86 stepper motor and 57 stepper motor is usually a hybrid stepper motor product series, the most obvious difference between them is the size of the mounting flange surface is different, 86 stepper motor flange frame size is about 86*86mm, but the manufacturer is different, the product series is different, there will be a slight difference, the market 82.5mm, 85.5mm, 86mm and other contour sizes are there, and the 57 stepper motor outline size is basically 56.4*56.4mm.

Compared with the larger flange size of the 86 stepper motor, the 86 stepper motor is generally longer, the shaft diameter is thicker, the holding torque of the motor is also larger, and the moment of inertia is also larger, which is suitable for driving larger loads. The specific selection depends on the specific requirements to choose.

86 or 57 is the size model of the stepper motor, and the motor of the 86 specification is larger than the motor size and power of the 57 specification.

Extensions as follows:

(1) The "step" of the stepper motor refers to the "step angle": it indicates the angle at which the motor rotates for each step pulse signal sent by the control system. When the motor leaves the factory, a value of 'inherent step angle of the motor' is given, such as 0.9°/1.8° (indicating 0.9° for half-step work and 1.8° for full-step work), and the real step angle of the actual working motor is related to the drive. The driver is subdivided to make the step angle smaller.

(2) The subdivision function is completely generated by the drive by accurately controlling the phase current of the motor, and has nothing to do with the motor.

What is the difference between 57 and 86 stepper motors?

86 stepper motor and 57 stepper motor are usually hybrid stepper motor product series, the most obvious difference between them is the size of the mounting flange surface, 86 stepper motor flange frame size is about 86*86mm.

The 86 stepper motor is larger and heavier than the 57 stepper motor. Torque is an important parameter of stepper motors, which determines how much load the motor can withstand. The 86 stepper motor has higher torque, so it can withstand more loads.
